Job summary

A leading company in the construction and fabrication industry seeks a qualified Boilermaker. This role involves planning, supervising, and performing installations and repairs in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience, a Boilermaker Trade Certification, and be capable of operating heavy-metal working machines. Qualifications

  • 5 years or more of experience in boilermaking or related fields.
  • Education includes a relevant trades certificate.

Tasks

  • Plan sequence of operation
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Develop templates

  • Supervise other workers
  • Set up and operate heavy-metal working machines to cut and shape metal into parts
  • Fit and weld parts together
  • Erect and install boilers and heavy-metal products according to specifications
  • Repair and maintain boilers and heavy-metal products
  • Fit plate or sheet steel work
  • Perform informal inspections of completed welds
  • Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts, such as safety valves or regulators
