Part of Oak View Group (OVG), Rhubarb is a premium hospitality collective specialising in luxury event catering, restaurant dining, and hospitality. Rhubarb delivers unique dining experiences and venue management at some of the world's most iconic locations.

About the Venue

8 Bishopsgate is a diverse, multi-outlet tenant-driven operation offering a wide range of hospitality services. It features two café bars, a restaurant on level 26, The Lookout on level 50, executive dining and meeting rooms, and an auditorium for up to 200 guests. Additionally, we cater events across the building.

Role Purpose

• £12.50 - 13.75 per hour, depending on experience
• Manage multiple outlets including retail, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, and events
• Ongoing training and development programs

We are looking for a talented Goods Receiver to join our team at 8 Bishopsgate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down all functions
  • Operate partitions to open and close off rooms
  • Support front-of-house teams, restaurant, and event staff in setting up rooms or moving furniture
  • Run errands throughout events
  • Receive deliveries and transfer stock or equipment between floors
  • Conduct manual handling tasks
Ideal Candidate
  • A natural team player who works well both independently and within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Reliable with exceptional timekeeping
  • Experience as a Goods Receiver, Bar Back, Porter, or Events Staff
  • Ideally certified in Food Safety, H&S, HACCP
  • Ability to operate pump trucks, trolleys, and cages
  • Flexible and available to work both opening and closing shifts as required
