Job summary

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is seeking a 310B Licensed Body Shop Technician to repair or replace damaged body parts to pre-accident condition in our Ontario shop. This full-time, day-shift role reports to the Service Manager and requires adherence to OHSA regulations while working safely with PPE.

You will work with body fillers, primers, and painting materials, service interiors, trim removal, and assist with welding and refinishing as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of bodyshop experience preferred.
  • Experience repairing and replacing damaged body parts.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean record (as per job requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Repair or replace damaged body parts to pre-accident condition.
  • Repair fibreglass hoods, fenders, and related components.
  • Apply body fillers, primers, and painting materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and use PPE.
  • Follow OHSA regulations and company safety policy.
  • Overtime as required.

Job description

Reporting to the Service Manager, the 310B Licensed Body Shop Technician is responsible for repairing or replacing damaged body parts back to Pre-Accident Condition with factory and dealership specifications to meet or exceed the original factory fit and finish. This is a full-time, day shift position, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Removes and replaces interiors, trims and accessories to gain access to damaged areas.
  • Repairs to fibreglass hoods, fenders and other transport truck components.
  • Removes dents and repairs damaged surfaces or replaces damaged parts.
  • Works with body fillers, glazes, primers and other painting materials.
  • Grinds, files, sands, welds and refinishes surfaces.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Complies with using proper use of PPE.
  • Other mechanical repair work as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience preferred in a Bodyshop environment
  • Experience with repairing and replacing damaged body parts
  • Work with a team and/or independently and follow instructions.
  • High school diploma
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Driver's Abstract
Work Conditions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Hazards associated with the trade.
  • Exposure to loud noises.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.
