• 3+ years experience as a Body Shop Painter or Auto-Body Technician.
• Must have Journeyman Autobody Red Seal certification.

New West Truck Centres has access to the latest diagnostic tools and equipment.

We are an ICBC accredited autobody repair shop as well as commercial body shop. We are growing and need top talent to progress with us.

Our total compensation package offers health, dental, EFAP, vision and life insurance. A qualified Body Shop Painter will earn between $35-50 per hour, based on training, experience and certificates.

The role

Body Painting – 90% of your time is spent here

• Complete the refinish process on a repaired vehicle, which could include: masking, sanding, applying undercoats, mid-coats, topcoats, and polishing.
• Clean & refinish new and used vehicles after body work is completed
• Use power tools, paint mixers, paint, cleaning solvents, and waxes as needed
• Keep work area organized and clean
• Manage deadlines, excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities
• Maintain a high regard for all health and safety requirements.

Other duties – 10% of your time is spent here

• Keep body shop and paint booths clean – sweeping floors, emptying trash, properly disposing of paint. Highly organized.
• Paint Inventory Management
• Routinely stand during work hours.

Education/Certification

• Journeyman Autobody Red Seal certified required
• Paint Spray Equipment, is mandatory/ own tools
• Valid Driver’s licence with no restrictions

Experience

• 3+ years working as a Body Shop Painter or Auto-Body Technician
