Lafarge is looking for a Boat Crew Operator, who will play a critical role in the transportation of site personnel to and from the mine site on a regular daily schedule with possibility of other transport as required. They are responsible for operating and maintaining boats to ensure transportation is completed in a safe manner following company policies and procedures. In addition to operating the vessel, they also serve as assisting with loading and unloading cargo, securing materials, and general cleaning duties when not operating the crew boat.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Required Training/Certifications: Commercial Boat Operator’s License, Small Vessel Operator Training, Marine Radio Training, First Aid Level 1 and Transportation Endorsement (desirable but not required).
Years of Experience: 1 year of experience in a similar field.
Schedule: Based on a two-week rotating shift from 5:30AM-2:00PM and 2:30PM-11:30PM
As part of our focus on health and safety, a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing, and criminal record check will be required.
