A media company in Ontario seeks a part-time freelancer to operate the board for multiple radio stations and produce a nightly program. Key responsibilities include live broadcasting, social media activity, and collaboration with creative teams. The ideal candidate is technically proficient and has a background in related studies. In this role you will be operating the board for 610 CKTB as well as swing operator for Dream 105.7, 97.7 HTZ-FM and Legend 102.9 (Hamilton). You'll also produce the "Best Of" program for Soper & Brown on 97.7 HTZ-FM! We're looking for a positive, talented individual to add to the team!
Key Responsibilities:
• Operating the board on weekends on 610 CKTB (Sat from 9a-11a & Sun from 6a – 9a)
• Swing operator for all station boards (Hamilton & Niagara) as needed
• Ensuring pre-recorded material for remainder of the day is properly loaded
• Recording and posting all interviews and features on the 610 CKTB Website
• Produce nightly "Best Of" program for Soper & Brown (HTZ-FM)
• Social media activity on all platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and others as assigned
• A critical player in the overall performance and success of the stations
• Work with creative team on production of various elements as needed
• Other duties as required
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary degree or current enrollment in a related field of study
• Technically proficient with excellent board operation skills
• Creative, driven, and enjoyable to work with
• Strong team player who thrives in collaborative environments
• Capable of directing the team and managing live broadcasts
• Knowledgeable about news and current events
• Skilled at handling live and breaking news situations
• Exceptional listening and response abilities
• Proficient in audio/video editing software, including Adobe Audition and Wide Orbit Automation
• Experienced in cultivating and maintaining an engaged social media audience across multiple platforms
• Demonstrated production expertise with the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
