Job Title:Employee Board of Elections, Warehouse Worker
Starting Salary: $34,000 base plus overtime
Reports To: Administrator, Warehouse Supervisor, and Deputy Warehouse Supervisor
Hours: Various, usually 8:15 to 4:15, Monday through Friday, with overtime hours and weekends required as needed.
Department: Middlesex County Board of Elections (Board); Department of Community Services
*Pursuant to statute N.J.S.A. 19:6-17, County Boards of Elections must have an equal representation of the two major political parties. This posting is seeking registered Republicans within Middlesex County to ensure party balance among all Board of Election employees in the office.*
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Conducts business by the federal election guidelines, Title 19 of New Jersey State Statutes, the Policies and Procedures of the State Division of Elections, and the Middlesex County Board of Elections.
- Prepare and pack electronic poll books.
- Prepare/maintain election voting machines, which include cleaning and minor repair of equipment.
- Perform polling place site visits for conformity to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Attend and administer poll worker training classes.
- Safeguards sensitive election documents and supplies.
- Performs all other duties assigned, delegated, or required of the Administrator and Warehouse Supervisor, and Deputy Supervisor including those prescribed by law.
- Must attend all required state and Board training classes as defined by management.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; must be able to lift 30 – 60 lbs. continuously. Computer proficiency is a must. Must have a valid New Jersey Driver License. Must complete Seal Use Protocol Training offered by the New Jersey Department of State within 6 months of employment. Consideration may be given to candidates who are fluent in either/or: Spanish, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Chinese, Korean.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
