The Comox Valley Division of Family Practice (the Division) engages and supports family physicians and nurse practitioners to strengthen the health of our community.
The Division:
We are currently seeking a skilled professional with expertise in one or more of the following areas: health systems, strategic planning, human resources, or communications/public relations, to join our Board of Directors. Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge and experience in their field, a strong background in governance, and familiarity with the non-profit and primary care sectors.Please note: health care experience is not required but considered an asset.
About the Role
The Board of the Comox Valley Division is composed of nine members, including Division General Members (physicians and nurse practitioners), a Division Associate Member, and Community Members.
Board members attend in-person meetings (no more than once a month), the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and other Division events throughout the year. Responsibilities include:
The term of office for Community Member Directors is three years, with the possibility of consecutive terms. The position is paid.
