Job summary

Mindful Mental Health is a psychotherapy practice serving diverse clients with compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. We are seeking a part-time BCBA to design and oversee ABA treatment plans for children and youth in Whitby, ON.

The BCBA will conduct functional assessments, analyze data, supervise therapists, and educate caregivers while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive, human-centered clinic.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Behavior Analysis with ability to design and evaluate evidence-based plans.
  • Experience coaching caregivers and parent education.
  • Background in psychology or related fields with understanding of child development and neurodivergence.
  • Current BCBA certification and Ontario eligibility; master's in ABA/Psychology/Education.
  • Experience delivering ABA in clinical, school, or community settings with children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee individualized ABA treatment plans for children and youth.

Job description

Mindful Mental Health is a psychotherapy practice serving children, youth, adults, couples, and families with compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized mental health care. Our team supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, neurodivergence, relationship issues, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Our services include psychotherapy, ABA therapy, group programming, and specialized interventions tailored to each client’s needs.

Role Description

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Mindful Mental Health will design, implement, and oversee individualized ABA treatment plans for children and youth, with a focus on behavior management, skill acquisition, and family-centered care. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting functional behavior assessments, analyzing data, supervising and training behavior therapists, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure integrated clinical support.

The BCBA will provide parent and caregiver education, lead treatment planning meetings, monitor client progress, and adjust interventions based on ongoing assessment and outcomes. This is a part-time, on-site independent contractor role located in Whitby, ON, requiring direct client interaction, continuous coordination with caregivers and staff, and adherence to ethical and professional standards in behavior analysis.

Compensation rates will be discussed further during the interview process, and will be based on the applicant's experience and credentials.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, with demonstrated ability to design and evaluate evidence-based behavior support plans.
  • Skills in Behavior Management and Parent Education, including coaching caregivers on strategies for supporting skill development and reducing challenging behaviors.
  • Background in Psychology or related mental health fields, with understanding of child development, neurodivergence, and co-occurring emotional or behavioral concerns.
  • Current BCBA certification and eligibility to practice in Ontario; master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Experience providing ABA services in clinical, school, or community settings, preferably with children, youth, and families.
  • Strong observational, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills, including proficiency with behavioral data collection and analysis tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice.
  • Ability to work on-site in Whitby, ON, manage a caseload, supervise staff, and maintain accurate clinical documentation while adhering to professional and ethical guidelines.
