Job description

Kick Start Therapy Inc has an immediate requirement for a Full-time BCBA position. The BCBA will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting pediatric clients, providing therapy at our center and in-home based on client preference.

Key Responsibilities:

1. The BCBA creates and supervises individualized programming and behaviour reduction plans for children/youth with autism based on Applied Behavioural Analysis principles.
2. Supports capacity building for Autism Therapists by implementing best practices, ethical decision-making, and providing consultation in ABA practices and instructional methods.
3. Provides clinical supervision and mentorship for Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) candidates, as appropriate.
4. Conducts therapy sessions as required.
5. Note: Kick Start Therapy is introducing Artificial Intelligence Humanoids in behaviour therapy sessions. Training will be provided to the right candidate to use humanoids in therapy sessions following set criteria.

Skill Requirements:

• Designs treatment plans using evidence-based information, guidelines, and clinical expertise.
• Engages clients, families, caregivers, and therapists to achieve client-centered goals.
• Provides coaching to clients, families, and therapists.
• Evaluates intervention effectiveness, client response, and progress.
• Provides evidence-based assessment and intervention.

Education:

Must hold a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification.

Experience:

Preferred: Minimum 2 years providing ABA therapy to children/youth with ASD, including at least 1 year in assessment, treatment planning, monitoring, consultation, and parent training. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and providing staff training is a plus.
