We are seeking an experienced Blaster responsible for assisting our crews in British Columbia. Although we are a union-affiliated organization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.

Job duties will include:

  • Preparation of blasting plans
  • Loading and detonating blasts

Qualifications:

  • Blasting experience around houses and urban settings is considered an asset
  • Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Natural ability to solve problems and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on job requirements
  • Enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license, with a clean driving abstract
  • Experience in the heavy civil construction industry
  • Must possess an Urban Blasting Ticket
  • Must possess a Mines Blasting Ticket
  • Knowledge of blasting shearline and production techniques
  • Understanding of WorkSafe requirements for blasting
  • Current TDG ticket
