Job description

The Blanking Press Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, running, and mechanical setup of the press to ensure good quality material for use on the forming machines. Supports management’s commitment to food safety, quality, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Shift Availability:

  • 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Qualified candidates must be able to work on either shift

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety and GMP practices/standards
  • Identify defective products, diagnose issues, and determine corrective actions
  • Rectify mechanical problems as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Core Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent safety, work, and attendance record with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in compliance with Good Manufacturing Principles
  • Manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools and equipment
  • Strong visual concentration and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish colours
  • Physical ability to handle dies and chutes
  • Mathematical proficiency
  • Basic computer skills, including use of touch screen computers and SAP experience
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
