With a commitment to innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales team and drive strategic business development.

Overview : We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth for medical supplies, consumable and commonly used clinical items. This individual will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales ideally in the Medical Supplies Industry. Under the leadership of the Executive Vice President, this candidate will be responsible for client prospecting and market analysis, maintaining and developing the following market segments: corporate, government, and public health sector. This individual will also be responsible for sales strategies, comp set and market analysis, RFP completion, coordination, interdepartmental communication, weekly/monthly reporting, and sales planning.

Salary : $100k+ / year (based on experience)

Primary Responsibilities :

The Sales Manager will be critical in driving team performance and sales growth. This individual will have a strong understanding of distribution channels and channel management. In addition to managing and coaching a sales team, the Manager will lead by example, serving as the best salesperson on the floor, developing new OEM business, and building strong relationships with high-level members of our key customers.

Specific Duties :

Sales Leadership & Strategy :

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue across all industries presently served: annual sales plan expense budget.
  2. Lead by example as the top salesperson on the team, actively engaging with customers and generating new business.
  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare organizations, key clients, and distribution partners.
  4. Ensure all sales activities adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards within the Canadian healthcare system.
  5. Oversee the management of WCD Global's distribution network, ensuring partners are well-supported and aligned with company objectives.
  6. Enforce pricing strategy to control channel conflicts and maintain margins.
  7. Act as a primary point of contact for high-value accounts and critical negotiations.
  8. Oversee contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Performance Management :

  1. Set clear expectations for the sales team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews to ensure high levels of achievement.
  2. Monitor and track sales performance, offering actionable feedback and adjusting strategies to ensure targets are met or exceeded utilizing CRM tools.
  3. Drive accountability within the team through KPIs, regular performance meetings, and real-time coaching, fostering a high-performance sales culture.

Team Development & Training :

  1. Identify continuous training and development opportunities to improve skills and enhance overall team performance.
  2. Foster a collaborative and competitive team environment, driving motivation and accountability across the department.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, and finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  4. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with sales reps to discuss performance, growth opportunities, and sales strategy.

Qualifications :

  1. Experience in the medical distribution field: understand how to position these products to meet the needs of LTC facilities and clinics.
  2. 5-7 years of sales experience within the B2B & B2C Sales is a must.
  3. Knowledge of the LTC and private clinic sectors.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French is an asset).
  5. Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Demonstrate interpersonal qualities with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  7. Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  8. Excellent organizational skills.
  9. Highly motivated individual, capable of decision-making and able to work under pressure to overcome possible obstacles.
  10. Possess analytical skills.
  11. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  12. Respect deadlines and timely reporting.
  13. Valid Ontario's G License.
  14. Open to travel for business purposes on a weekly basis.
