Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: As a Biomedical Scientist in Pathology, your role is to assist in the organisation, management, and development of services across a range of laboratory services. You will liaise with the Laboratory Consultant and the Pathology Manager to ensure the provision of high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective services. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Analyse, interpret, and report information related to ideas and concepts.
  2. Develop and evaluate the movement of laboratory specimens and blood.
  3. Assist with research and development.
  4. Provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentious information.

Who we're looking for:

  • You must be an HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist with no restrictions on practice.
  • You must have experience in Blood Transfusion, Haematology, or Chemical Pathology.
  • 2 years' post-registration experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, during core hours on weekdays and weekends, plus on-call.

Contract Type: Permanent
