Your Opportunity:

As a team member of the Emergency Medical Services Clinical Engineering Department – Medical Device Support, reporting to the Provincial Manager EMS Equipment, the Biomedical Equipment Technologist II is responsible for managing medical device technology, including technical support of highly complex medical equipment and clinical systems. The technologist requires comprehensive knowledge of clinical practices, procedures, and equipment types, with a good understanding of anatomy and physiology. Working independently or as part of the clinical team, the technologist ensures performance assurance testing and support of complex medical devices and clinical systems, maintaining compliance with CSA, manufacturer, and accreditation standards. Responsibilities also include prioritizing and managing your workload effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assurance testing, maintenance, and repair of complex medical, biomedical, and electronic devices or systems.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates with equivalent or related education, training, and experience will be considered.
