Spectramedx is seeking a talented Biomedical Engineering Technologist to join our service team at our Waterloo headquarters. The role involves providing ongoing repairs and preventative maintenance on medical devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited college
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare technology support (healthcare centre or OEM)
• Experience repairing circuits and performing component-level repairs
• OEM training from Philips or other recognized OEMs with certification preferred
• Experience using CMMS software

Responsibilities

• Identify faulty components
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Calibrate equipment post-repair and during PM
• Document work in CMMS software
• Manage inventory and report
• Communicate with customers via email

Skills

• Knowledge of biomedical instrumentation and equipment
• Understanding of respiratory devices (CPAPs, BiPAPs, Ventilators, O2 Blenders)
• Strong circuit theory and diagnosis skills
• Professional soldering and reworking skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated and proactive
