Learning Health and Social System (LHSS); a system in which science, education, informatics, incentives, and culture are aligned for continuous improvement, innovation, and equity. With a broad range of experience and skillset in project management, coordination and implementation science, the successful candidate will support NL Health?s pathway to a LHSS by encouraging the use of best practice in decision-making, embedding knowledge mobilization strategies, and partnering with our patients and families. The System Performance Project Specialist is strategically positioned within the Performance and Accountability Team, and will collaborate with many internal and external stakeholders to support the fulfillment of this role, inclusive of system leaders, health care professionals, Newfoundland and Labrador Government and Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. Key Responsibilities:? Planning and Execution: Utilize engagement strategies to execute planning requirements (goal/objective setting, enabler identification, stakeholder consultation, environmental/jurisdictional scanning, work plans). Prepare timely, accurate, and comprehensive briefing notes, project updates, promotional materials, and other executive documentation.? Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and steward relationships to increase trust, engagement, and participation in achieving NL Health Services? mandate. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including system leaders, healthcare professionals, the Newfoundland and Labrador Government, and Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.? Performance and Accountability: Identify and support performance and accountability requirements, including performance indicators, benchmarking, performance monitoring systems, data visualization, and harmonization. Recommend solutions by critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources.? System Development and Change Management: Enable the development of a Learning Health and Social System (LHSS) and drive meaningful change through adoption and scaling. Foster a culture of co-design and understanding of learning cycles.? Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach other leaders throughout NL Health Services.Required Qualifications:? Education: Baccalaureate degree in a health discipline/health science or related field (or equivalent).? Experience: Education/training in planning and performance, change management, and knowledge translation/implementation.Required Skills:? Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system.? Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams and with external partners.? Strong evidence-based decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.? Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information.? Experience in facilitation and coordination.? Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.? Proficiency in developing reports, presentations, and briefing documents.? Computer skills with knowledge of data sources, methodologies, and healthcare electronic systems.? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).? Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment, managing competing priorities.?
