Job Summary:
The Faculty of Science invites applications for a limited-term Laboratory Technician Assistant reporting to the Teaching Professor and Lab Coordinators in Biology.
Nature of work:
The Laboratory Technician Assistant (Biology) is required to provide help and support to the biology technicians for nontechnical tasks associated with the running of the biology teaching laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for glassware and plasticware washing; preparation of glassware and plasticware for laboratory uses (including autoclaving), disposal of waste, cleaning laboratories and associated prep rooms, assisting with set up and take down labs if necessary, weekly checking of eye wash stations and spore testing of autoclave and other duties as needed.
