Responsibilities

Your role within the team:

  • Be a vital contributor to a wide range of environmental assessment and management projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct biological surveys to ensure regulatory compliance following established protocols and methodologies.
  • Gain exposure to our wider biology programs while developing in your area of specialization.
  • Field-based environmental monitoring and habitat assessment.
  • Preparation of monitoring and mitigation plans.
  • Desktop research and preparation of permit applications.
  • Contribute to technical reports to support decision making.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, regulatory agencies, construction contractors and wider rightsholders and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental Biology pathway, with field experience in planning, conducting and/or managing biological studies (e.g. wildlife, vegetation, wetlands, fish and fish habitat studies)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license
