The Behaviour Intervention Mentor will provide direct support through various proactive strategies and activities aimed at assisting students with the development of social skills and implementing programs that create an environment conducive to students staying in school. Work will also involve developing strategies to promote student attendance, positive social and communication skills, and supporting the school team in fostering positive learning environments. Responsibilities may include conducting individual or group interventions, supporting teachers in behaviour management, and collaborating with professionals such as teachers, school psychologists, social workers, probation officers, and mental health professionals. The Mentor may participate in case management and case conferencing to develop intervention and behaviour management plans. Additional duties may be assigned during non-student days and summer months.
In accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees–Professional Support Group Collective Agreement, $2662.61 bi-weekly.
