Job summary

Modern Technical Staffing Inc. seeks a Steel Tekla Detailer to join a client’s growing steel manufacturing team in Ontario.

You will prepare detailed shop drawings for ICI structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and PEB projects, collaborating with Management, Engineering, Fabrication, and Site teams. Responsibilities include Tekla Structures drawings, Bills of Materials, and project reports; reviewing drawings; identifying discrepancies; and revising drawings to meet engineering and site needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Tekla Structures and detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings.
• Junior and Senior level candidates encouraged to apply.

• Review structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and project scope.

• Make drawing revisions based on engineering, client, fabrication, and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and detail.

We are looking for a Steel Tekla Detailer to join our client's growing steel manufacturing team. The successful candidate will prepare detailed shop drawings for ICI structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and PEB projects, working closely with Management, Engineering, Fabrication, and Site teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings using Tekla Structures, including IFA, IFF, and IFC drawings.
• Produce accurate Bills of Materials, material lists, and project reports within Tekla.
• Review structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and project scope.
• Identify discrepancies and potential detailing or fabrication issues.
• Communicate project requirements and technical details with Management and project teams.
• Make drawing revisions based on engineering, client, fabrication, and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Tekla Structures.
• Experience with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or steel fabrication detailing.
• Experience with Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB) is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of steel fabrication processes.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Junior candidates with relevant Tekla experience/training and Senior Detailers are both encouraged to apply.
