Job summary

AECOM is hiring a BIM Specialist - Airports to join our Mississauga team. This on-site role supports building one of the world's most advanced airports, coordinating BIM across Architecture, MEP, and structural disciplines and developing templates for in-house projects.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist - Airports to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga.

We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM requirements across multiple disciplines, including Architecture, MEP, Data, Structure, and Asset Management, while planning standard development.
• Support the establishment of governance and processes for BIM implementation throughout the program.
• Organize and lead BIM coordination workshops.
• Assist in developing model templates encompassing structural, interior, and exterior architectural elements, as well as MEP systems for in-house projects. Facilitate laser scanning of existing spaces when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• University Degree + 4 years of civil infrastructure experience with technical construction drawings and/or documents.

Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered, for example a College Diploma + additional years of experience.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working with technical construction drawings and/or documents, experience as a BIM Lead/Supervisor/Manager is a strong asset.
• Proven experience with enterprise-grade document and construction management systems, preferably Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Maximo, and SharePoint.
• Proficiency in BIM design software, ideally Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with CADD and GIS technologies such as Bentley MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and ESRI ArcGIS.
• Strong familiarity with computer hardware and standard office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops for large groups.

Additional Information

This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.

This position is for a newly created role.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $72000 to $122000.
