Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Airport to join our Mississauga team on-site. You will lead complex airport programs, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk, and drive procurement and contract activities.

You will mentor staff and collaborate with a broad program team to ensure compliance, approvals, and successful delivery of critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of project/program management experience, including large airport projects.
  • Experience delivering complex airport or infrastructure programs.
  • Typically 10+ years total PM experience preferred.
  • Experience managing teams and stakeholders to deliver projects.
  • Strong capability across design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Lead and coordinate with Senior PMs and Construction Managers.
  • Coordinate permits, approvals, and site logistics with the contractor.
  • Oversee delivery of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Coordinate change control processes and escalation.
  • Collaborate with program teams for reviews, inspections, and approvals.

Job Description

This position is based on-site, out ofMississauga.We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.

Major Responsibilities

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Works collaboratively alongside the other Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
Works with the Program Lead to manage the performance of the contractor and to escape the necessary decisions.

Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholder groups to align the necessary consultations and approvals.

Works with the contractor to coordinate the required permits, approvals, and consents as well as to coordinate site logistics.

Oversees the delivery of the works in line with scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk requirements.

Coordinates the effective application of change control procedures and escalates decisions as required.

Works collaboratively with the wider program team to coordinate reviews, inspections, and approvals incl. design, health and safety, quality, environmental, security, etc.

Works collaboratively with the wider team to coordinate procurement activities and contract management activities.

Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of staff.

Qualifications

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:

  • University Degree + 6years of relevant experience in project / program management, including experience working on large airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.

Preferred Requirement:

Typically, a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project / program management.

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.

Demonstrated expertise in project management and / or applicable technical areas to deliver complex projects. Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver complex projects and programs.

Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.

Demonstrable experience in managing stakeholder relationships and providing reporting to enable effective decision making.

Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings / workshops with groups of stakeholders.

Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.

Additional Information

This position requires working on-site at client's office, five days per week.
