WSP is currently seeking a dynamic and talented BIM Modeller to join our Saskatchewan Structural Engineering team, located in either Regina or Saskatoon. This position will be responsible for working with a multidisciplinary team to take innovative design solutions from proposals through to constructed projects for clients in a wide variety of sectors.

A Day in the Life…

  • Development and implementation of Autodesk’s Revit software as an office wide standard.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers to develop construction documentation.
  • Model structural elements for buildings to produce quality construction drawings.
  • Conduct self review and peer review of Revit models and final documents.
  • Support BIM users to maintain efficient and effective BIM operations.
  • Coordination of Revit based teams during the course of a project.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, communication and administration of BIM standards.
  • Help maintain BIM standards and practices between multiple offices.
  • Assist in research and recommendation of current and emerging BIM related technologies and practices.
  • Promote practices to improve production efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate processes that facilitate the interoperability of CAD, graphics and modeling tools.
  • Carry out site visits to review conformity of structural work with drawings and specifications.
  • Support contract administration activities during construction including review of shop drawings and participation in site meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-8 years of BIM experience in an engineering or architecture environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Revit with direct experience using prior versions.
  • Passion for BIM technologies with ability to promote these technologies and practices to increase user effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo scripting and effective implementation in the BIM environment.
  • Client oriented with commitment to working within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to delegate tasks as and when appropriate.
