Job summary

SYSTRA Canada is seeking a CAD/Technologist to develop BIM models and design documentation for a light rail project using Autodesk Civil 3D, covering drainage, stormwater and wet utilities while supporting multidisciplinary coordination and compliant project delivery.

Candidates should hold a diploma or degree in Engineering Design or Drafting, have 4–8 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in Civil 3D with BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• 4–8 years of relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the 3D Drainage & Stormwater model and/or 3D Wet-utility model.
• Generate plot-ready plan and profile drawings while maintaining model accuracy.
• Coordinate updates with the broader design team to ensure a high level of consistency.
• Maintain model quality, parameter consistency, worksets, file references, and shared coordinates.
• Assist in preparing design deliverables at various project stages from concept through detailed design and construction support.
