Job Opportunity: Mechanical Piping BIM Coordinator

One of the top Mechanical Contractors in Ontario is seeking a Mechanical Piping focused BIM Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical piping and the ability to communicate effectively with all building sectors (electrical, architectural, HVAC, civil, etc.).

Qualifications

• Strong interest and knowledge of BIM, specifically related to plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of file structures (central files, families, templates).
• Familiarity with building systems.
• Knowledge of object-oriented software programming concepts such as class structures, types, and parameters (beneficial).
• Strong spatial awareness and ability to visualize complex spatial concepts like pipe/conduit routing in congested spaces.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to develop 3D mechanical models.
• Manage mechanical content for databases and active projects.
• Create and modify families and content as needed.
• Update and extract information from models.
