Job Description
Posted Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7:00 AM Our team is growing, and we're looking for a BIM Coordinator to support our expanding Hotel, Restaurant and Resorts brands. Proud to be 100% Canadian-owned, Northland Properties' are recognized as one of the most trusted names in hotels, restaurants, resorts, sports, construction, and asset management. Our well-known and loved brands have been bringing people together to celebrate unforgettable experiences across Canada, the US, Ireland, and the UK for over 50 years. As Canada’s fastest-growing hospitality group, we believe the foundation of our continued success is our people and their ability to take great care of our guests.

Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the BIM Coordinator will play a key role in supporting real estate projects from early design through construction. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys being deeply integrated with architecture, planning, and construction teams. As a digital collaborator, you’ll serve as a proactive and detail-oriented “right hand” to development leads—anticipating needs, maintaining clean model workflows, and ensuring that design data supports project outcomes with accuracy and impact.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Architectural Model Management & Collaboration
    • Oversee creation and coordination of architectural BIM models from concept through working drawings.
    • Maintain up-to-date Revit models that align with project timelines, zoning constraints, and client/development objectives.
    • Support consultants in aligning their deliverables with development timelines and internal model expectations.
  • Digital Workflow Optimization
    • Serve as a key knowledge base and internal resource—resolving issues, automating tasks, and anticipating coordination challenges before they arise.
    • Operate with the initiative of a smart assistant: adapting to shifting priorities, organizing outputs, and ensuring deliverables are always ready ahead of need.
  • Clash Detection & Design Quality
    • Perform architectural model audits and flag potential design issues early.
    • Run simplified clash checks focused on development-critical elements (core, envelope, unit layout, exits).
  • Standards & Execution Planning
    • Develop, manage, and enforce project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
    • Uphold modeling standards, file structure consistency, and naming conventions aligned with development expectations.
  • Real-Time Support & Integration
    • Act as a digital extension of development managers—curating drawings, exporting sets, updating schedules, and providing model-based answers in real-time.
    • Be a collaborative “hub” for coordination across design, planning, and construction groups.
  • Training & Enablement
    • Support team members with Revit training, troubleshooting, and workflow enhancements.
    • Document and share best practices internally to raise BIM fluency across the organization.

What do you get?

  • Extended family Health care, including vision, dental, and Group Life Insurance.
  • Yearly bonus opportunities.
  • Retirement Saving Plan (RRSP) after a year of employment.
  • Flexible schedule, with possibility of hybrid work.
  • Employee discounts across the Northland-owned hotels and resorts.
  • 25% discount at selected restaurants for up to 6 people.
  • ½ price passes/lift tickets at Grouse Mountain and Revelstoke Mountain Resort for up to 4 people.
  • HumanaCare free mental health support & counselling.
  • Contribute to a unique construction model focused on teamwork and cooperation.
  • Be a valued member of a team in an organization with unparalleled opportunities.
  • Collaborative, friendly working environment with a fun and inclusive culture.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in BIM coordination with a strong focus on architectural modeling and real estate development support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with working knowledge of tools such as Navisworks, Enscape, and BIM 360/ACC.
  • Self-directed, intuitive, and calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Focused on feasibility, clarity, and building what matters.
  • Responsive, organized, and always one step ahead in ensuring quality, integrity, and attention to detail in every digital output.
