Job summary

WSP is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support industrial/mining project operations in Ontario. You will manage day-to-day BIM‑VDC implementation, coordinate model development with discipline leads, and resolve interdisciplinary issues.

You will onboard teams, manage CDE workflows, and ensure adherence to BIM standards while supporting 4D/5D integration and project closeout activities. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• A university degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and training.
• 5–10 years of experience in engineering design, technical drafting, and 3D coordination in heavy industrial or mining sectors.
• Experience with industrial electrical, piping and process, instrumentation and controls, mechanical assembly, or building mechanical systems.
• Ability to explain information management workflows clearly.
• Strong written and verbal English; French is an asset.
• Experience with Autodesk BIM 360/ACC Forma, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Plant 3D.

The BIM Coordinator will take part in industrial and mining project operations for the Resources sector and support the Project BIM Manager’s strategy by managing day-to-day BIM‑VDC implementation across projects and coordinating model development with discipline design leads. Working closely with design teams, the BIM Coordinator helps resolve interdisciplinary issues, promotes adherence to project BIM requirements, and serves as the primary point of contact for technical BIM support and coordination activities.

This position can be located out of any of our WSP Offices in Ontario.

Your Impact

Plan and coordinate

• Develop the 3D model coordination strategy with the BIM Manager.

• Provide technical BIM and software support to project teams.

Support project closeout

• Complete final coordination and resolve outstanding clashes.

• Support final deliverables, handover, data submission, and archiving.

Improve and standardize

• Identify reusable content, automation, and process improvements.

• Partner with Digital Solutions and the BIM Practice Manager to evaluate emerging tools and technologies.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• A university degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and training;

• 5–10 years of experience in engineering design, technical drafting, and 3D coordination, ideally within the heavy industrial or mining sector ;

• Experience with industrial electrical, piping and process, instrumentation and controls, mechanical assembly, or building mechanical systems;

• The ability to explain information management workflows clearly;

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.French an asset;

• Experience with the following software:

• Core tools: Autodesk BIM 360/ACC Forma, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Plant 3D;

• Additional assets: Inventor, ReCap, Civil 3D, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate/Power Apps, and ProjectWise.

• Consulting engineering or document management experience is an asset;

• A proactive, self‑motivated approach and the ability to work independently;

• Strong attention to detail and adaptability as project needs evolve;

• A collaborative approach to providing clear guidance, support, and training.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $89 800 – 118 900

MB & ON: $81 900 – 112 800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $81 100 – 107 700
