Role description:

Arcadis is searching for a BIM Coordination Specialist to join its growing team for Canada Places Design & Engineering projects. You will facilitate the BIM production team, liaising with various discipline groups representing Land Engineering, Structural, and MEP groups. The coordinator will be part of a global network of office-focused BIM Coordination under D&E Places Canada, governed by the Structural Team. This role focuses on cross-sector synergy (between Intelligence, Buildings, and Infrastructure), empowering global work-sharing, standardization, and optimization, as well as fostering cross-sector collaboration and data management throughout a project’s lifecycle.

Role accountabilities:
  1. Perform BIM tasks such as producing, reviewing, and managing project drawings and documentation.
  2. Check models to ensure they meet Arcadis and project standards and BIM goals.
  3. Ensure projects have a defined BIM Execution Plan and oversee its implementation.
  4. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize model performance.
  5. Lead and support the BIM team in design and production phases.
  6. Coordinate, troubleshoot, and serve as a BIM (Revit) subject matter expert, maintaining best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3-6 years of experience supporting BIM technology in engineering, including production and coordination.
  • Experience in developing and writing technical standards.
  • ISO 19650 Information Management certification is valuable.
  • Secret-level Security Clearance is advantageous.
  • Experience with ACC/ProjectWise is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks across disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of Bentley software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with interoperability between Revit and other discipline-specific software, understanding BIM differences for Building, Civil, and Plant.
  • Experience in 3D design, multi-disciplinary coordination, and data exchange management.
  • Good communication skills for team collaboration and training.
  • Leadership skills to guide a BIM team.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills for fast-paced projects.
  • Motivated, proactive, and open to new challenges.
  • Ability to liaise with external entities to interpret BIM or CAD requirements.

The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $115,000. Actual salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
