Job summary

JMR Electric Ltd., based in Exeter, Ontario, is seeking a motivated BIM/CADD Manager to coordinate electrical and mechanical building systems. You will create and maintain BIM models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, translating markups into constructible models, and resolving clashes with engineers and project teams.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BIM/CADD Manager to support the development and coordination of electrical and mechanical (MEP) building systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate BIM models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, while collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams.

In this role, you will support the coordination process by translating mark-ups, shop drawings, and project information into constructible models, identifying and resolving clashes, and ensuring deliverables align with project requirements, schedules, and client expectations. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate BIM models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD based on preliminary concepts, sketches, and design inputs.
• Produce detailed Revit drawings for electrical and mechanical (MEP) building systems from mark-ups and design documentation.
• Review and validate drawings and models to identify errors, omissions, and inconsistencies; implement necessary revisions.
• Perform clash detection and coordination of MEP systems with structural, architectural, and other building components to resolve interferences.
• Prepare and issue drawing sets for internal review, coordination, and client approval, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support coordination efforts and meet project deliverables.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BIM technologies, modeling practices, and drafting standards.
• Develop coordinated layouts for electrical and mechanical systems in alignment with architectural and structural design requirements.
• Complete assigned modeling and drafting tasks within established timelines and project requirements.

What We Are Looking For:

• 1- 3 years of hands-on experience in BIM modeling within an electrical and/or mechanical environment, with demonstrated proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, or other relevant design software.
• Diploma in Building Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field; equivalent practical BIM/Revit experience will be considered.
• Experience producing coordinated BIM models and drawings across design and construction phases, including interpreting mark-ups and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight project deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate within project teams and support coordination efforts.
• Willingness to work occasional extended hours to meet project milestones and client requirements.
