The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Billing Operations Lead to join our Global Billing Operations team. Reporting to the Global Billing Operations Manager, this hybrid role blends hands-on invoicing responsibilitieswith people leadership ensuring that billing processes are executed accurately and efficiently while supporting the professional growth of a team of Billing Analysts.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, support, and develop a team of Billing Analysts, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage day-to-day workload allocation of the team, performance check-ins, and skill development planning.
- Act as the first point of escalation for billing-related issues within the team.
Billing Operations
- Provide excellent customer-centric billing support by partnering with cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Success, Legal) to maintain a smooth order-to-cash cycle.
- Prepare and review invoices for high-priority or complex accounts, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
- Support month-end close activities to ensure GAAP compliance
- Provide business and clients with billing and service credit related reporting
- Work with local accounts receivable teams to support timely payments from Ezra’s customers
Process Ownership & Improvement
- Help further standardize billing processes and documentation across the team.
- Streamline invoice generation and supplier portal uploads (Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten) to boost efficiency and drive operational excellence.
- Monitor SLAs, exceptions, and compliance metrics for the billing function to ensure Billing function is providing excellent service to the business and its customers
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or order-to-cash roles (B2B preferred).
- Excellent Excel and billing system skills (e.g., Salesforce, PSA Certinia, JD Edwards or similar platforms).
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, to ensure excellent quality and results.
- Strong communication skills and comfort with stakeholder engagement.
- Experience mentoring or managing others, even informally.
- Ability to problem solve independently and quickly.
- Effective at operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- A mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, while demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.
- Ability to build trust and relationships quickly.
