We are recruiting for a Billing Analyst in our Toronto office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in client service, billing, collections, or accounts receivable, and will be responsible for building relationships with lawyers and clients, issuing invoices, and maintaining accurate records. Our employees benefit from a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office weekly.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Building and maintaining effective relationships with billing lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, clients, and management.
  2. Ensuring timely entry of time and following up as needed.
  3. Preparing, printing, and reviewing prebills via Aderant.
  4. Preparing reports, issuing invoices according to client guidelines and firm policies.
  5. Sending invoices and supporting documents to clients via ebilling or email.
  6. Monitoring outstanding WIP and updating lawyers during monthly meetings.
  7. Managing special client arrangements, applying discounts, and ensuring compliance.
  8. Collaborating with the E-billing team for form preparation and handling rejected invoices.
  9. Escalating billing issues and handling invoice adjustments or collections.
  10. Performing additional tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  1. Post-secondary education in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 3 years' related experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  3. Experience with Aderant Expert or similar systems is an asset.
  4. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  6. Discretion and confidentiality are essential.
  7. Flexibility to work overtime during busy periods.
