As a Billing Administrator at a leading firm, you will ensure exceptional client service by managing financial tasks including invoicing, WIP tracking, and client communications. This role requires fluency in both English and French, strong technical abilities, and a keen understanding of financial processes, providing a significant opportunity to grow within a dynamic team.
The Billing Administrator (“BA”) provides exceptional internal and external client service, working directly with clients and with partners, practice staff and partner assistants to provide key financial management tasks critical to the firm’s financial performance. BAs are responsible for managing their partners’ financial management activities including invoice preparation, WIP and accounts receivable management, and reporting.

As a Billing Administrator, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Set up new client job codes in the firm’sproprietaryaccounting software (iPower), including all associated maintenance (e.g., budget rates)
Monitor WIPs, review engagement letters to determinefees to becharged, and liaisewith managers to ensure out of pocketexpenses are captured
Draft, finalize, and issue invoices to clients on a timely basis to support achievement of partners’ monthlybillingtargets (i.e., NIDO)
Respond to client queriesregardinginvoices, includingpreparation of analyses and preparation of amendedinvoiceswhenrequired (as directed by the partner/manager)
Prepare, finalize and issue credit notes
Update and managefee and billingschedules
Prepare monthly detailed analysis of WIP (as required by the partner/manager) to ensure the WIP value reflects what is expected to be recovered in fees from the client. When it doesn’t, prepare month-end WIP provisions for review with partner/manager
Monitor and/or manage the partner’soverallfinancialinvestment, including WIP, A/R and cash collection actuals to target (i.e. NIDO)
Track feesagainst budget, and conduct global feereporting as required
Generate aged A/R reports and review with partner to determine actions required for aging accounts
Experiences and skillsyou’ll use to solve
The successful candidate requiresfluency in English, in addition to French as theywillberequired to support or collaboratewith English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of theiremploymentwith PwC Canada
Strong understanding of end-to-end financialprocessesincluding a numerical aptitude
Experienceworking in a professional services firmis an asset, as is client service experience
Strong technicalskills in Excel and Word
Demonstrates a commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationshipswithbothinternal and external clients
Confidence to engage partners in billing, A/R management and collections activities
Demonstratesability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changingmatrixedenvironmentindependently, and with minimal direction
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills
