What is the opportunity?

The Trade Client Liaison Officer provides direct support to Payments & Trade Operations for the day-to-day inquiries received through Trade’s generic email box & Trade Operations 1-800 support line. You will also be responsible for client enrolment, client support, and web training for RBC’s online portal front-end application.

What is the opportunity?

The Trade Client Liaison Officer provides direct support to Payments & Trade Operations for the day-to-day inquiries received through Trade’s generic email box & Trade Operations 1-800 support line. You will also be responsible for client enrolment, client support, and web training for RBC’s online portal front-end application.

What will you do?

  1. Primary point of contact for all incoming calls through our Trade Operations’ general inquiry line and works towards a one-touch solution when answering 1-800 # & for all incoming inquiries received via Trade’s generic email.
  2. Provide support to customers' technical issues when using the online portal.
  3. Act as a primary contact and/or coordinator for client problem resolution and escalate when appropriate.
  4. Provide status updates to clients / CAM on transactions currently in Trade’s workflow.
  5. Ensure all internal bank documentation complies with audit practices.
  6. Provide relief to Trade Officers and Transactional Control Officers during absences and vacations.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have :

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
  • 2+ years of experience in Trade Finance products such as Letter of Credit / Guarantees and Documentary collection.
  • 2+ years of Customer service experience or in a call center environment.
  • Banking experience and an understanding of business banking.

Nice-to-have :

  • Working knowledge of Trade360 (JTPS).
