What you'll bring

• Minimum of two (2) years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
• Ability to provide your CRA RepID for client representation services upon onboarding.
• Experience with professional tax software for preparing and filing personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
• Passion for helping clients navigate tax complexities and committed to enhancing our brand by delivering excellent customer service.
• Excellent customer service skills and comfort interacting via video and audio tools professionally and confidently.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule with at least 20 hours per week.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with Business Tax (T2) returns.
• Experience with Quebec Tax (TP1) returns.

• Tax expertise with a solid understanding of tax laws and concepts, and a proactive approach to learning about updates and changes.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with active listening to empathize and understand client needs.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems, using tools and resources efficiently.
• Curiosity and continuous learning mindset, with confidence in following procedures and seeking solutions.
• Basic technical skills and interest in troubleshooting related issues.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay ranging from $24.50 to $33.50 per hour depending on location (PEI, BC, Nova Scotia), plus bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on experience, skills, and location, with regular pay equity assessments.

• Assist clients in completing their tax returns using TurboTax, providing guidance and reviewing self-prepared returns, while managing product inquiries.
• Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate, understandable answers.
• This is a virtual, customer-facing role utilizing advanced video communication tools, with documentation of interactions for record-keeping.
