What you'll bring
- Minimum of two (2) years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
- Ability to provide your CRA RepID for client representation services upon onboarding.
- Experience with professional tax software for preparing and filing personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
- Passion for helping clients navigate tax complexities and committed to enhancing our brand by delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent customer service skills and comfort interacting via video and audio tools professionally and confidently.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule with at least 20 hours per week.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Business Tax (T2) returns.
- Experience with Quebec Tax (TP1) returns.

- Tax expertise with a solid understanding of tax laws and concepts, and a proactive approach to learning about updates and changes.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with active listening to empathize and understand client needs.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems, using tools and resources efficiently.
- Curiosity and continuous learning mindset, with confidence in following procedures and seeking solutions.
- Basic technical skills and interest in troubleshooting related issues.
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay ranging from $24.50 to $33.50 per hour depending on location (PEI, BC, Nova Scotia), plus bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on experience, skills, and location, with regular pay equity assessments.
How you will lead
- Assist clients in completing their tax returns using TurboTax, providing guidance and reviewing self-prepared returns, while managing product inquiries.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate, understandable answers.
- This is a virtual, customer-facing role utilizing advanced video communication tools, with documentation of interactions for record-keeping.
