We're seeking a passionate, challenge-driven individual committed to making a difference. The bilingual Talent & Culture Lead, reporting to the Talent & Culture Director, will serve as a resource for employees, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and Health & Safety. The role involves working with regions to facilitate employee development related to blood cancers and role enhancement.

This primarily remote role may require up to 20% of time out of the office for meetings and events, with flexibility in interaction modes. Travel includes up to two trips per year across Canada, with potential for more based on work demands. Core hours may vary to meet organizational and community needs.

What We Will Do Together

  • Talent Acquisition & Job Descriptions : Proactively identify recruitment needs, lead hiring, coordinate onboarding, and update job descriptions.
  • Performance Appraisals : Manage quarterly reviews via HRIS, train managers, develop staff, and address performance issues.
  • Payroll & Benefits : Ensure timely payroll documentation, administer benefits, RRSP, and EFAP plans.
  • Recruitment : Oversee full-cycle recruitment, ensure fairness, liaise with hiring managers.
  • Other Duties : Lead health & safety initiatives, develop policies, address operational concerns, and handle HR projects.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary degree / diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • Fully bilingual in French & English.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • 3+ years in Canadian nonprofit sector preferred.
  • 2+ years recruiting qualified candidates.
  • Knowledge of provincial legislation (ESA, OHSA, AODA, WSIB, Human Rights).
  • Leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Certifications for Joint Health & Safety Committee (Part 1 & 2).
  • Experience with remote staff or nonprofits is an asset.
