As a talent acquisition partner, you will contribute your expertise and creative sourcing approaches to enable TELUS Health to offer its products, services, solutions, and exceptional customer experience.

You are the ultimate intermediary: part talent scout, part trusted advisor, part talent agent. Deeply embedded with your primary client group, the Retirement and Benefits Solutions, you strike the perfect balance between discovering and securing top-tier professionals who will shape the future of financial well-being in Canada.

Virtually a member of your client group, you use your expertise to ensure we have all the necessary talent, both for today and tomorrow. You understand the hiring team's role and its importance in the broader context so well that candidates often think you're part of the team yourself. Your natural curiosity, exceptional instinct, analytical mind, and great listening skills inspire confidence in both leaders and candidates. You know what matters to them.

You represent the best of both worlds: you help candidates and hiring leaders, while also developing strategies and leading projects that move the company forward.

What you'll do
  • As a business partner, you seek to fully understand the goals, challenges, and opportunities associated with your client group, and you collaborate in finding and implementing solutions.
  • As a trusted advisor, you work with hiring managers to develop a customized strategy to attract, find, and evaluate the best talent.
  • As a TELUS brand ambassador, you provide candidates with a professional, welcoming, informative, and fair experience that reflects our culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • As a forward-thinking influencer, you apply best practices, create new ones, adopt new approaches, and ensure simple process improvements.
  • You are curious and informed about changes and trends in recruitment and the healthcare industry, and use these observations to evolve the field of talent acquisition or your client group's objectives.
  • You will coach and mentor colleagues by sharing best practices, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration to elevate team performance and support continuous learning.
  • You drive integration and change management by working closely with newly acquired teams to implement and align TELUS’ talent acquisition service delivery model.
Qualifications

  • You are bilingual (English and French), both written and verbal
  • You are known for your ability to listen, question, analyze, and communicate clearly and simply.
  • You excel at understanding and evaluating the needs of hiring leaders and candidates, and you know how to set clear expectations.
  • You have a strong sense of urgency and a good ability to work under pressure.
  • You are results-oriented and able to work in a time-sensitive environment.
  • You have the ability to proactively identify problems and opportunities, analyze facts and data, and develop and implement creative solutions.
  • You know how to tackle difficult situations and use your influencing and negotiating skills with stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • With exceptional organizational skills, you demonstrate resilience and can adapt in a constantly evolving environment.
  • You collaborate with others and foster their engagement, support your colleagues, and readily highlight their achievements.
  • You are social media savvy and know how to leverage platforms to their full potential to attract the best talent.
  • You have 3 to 5 years of corporate recruitment experience
  • You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Great-to-haves

  • You have experience in recruiting for retirement benefits solutions roles.
  • You are a member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRP)

Salary Range: $75,000-$113,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
