PRINCIPALES FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILITÉS:

1. Coordonner et gérer tous les aspects requis afin d'obtenir la couverture de médicaments d'ordonnance pour les patients;
2. Coordonner les cas avec les compagnies d'assurance, les cabinets de médecins et les professionnels de la santé afin de maximiser les solutions de remboursement;
3. Coordonner les documents, les soumissions et tous les documents connexes aux compagnies d'assurance, programmes de financement public/fédéral;
4. Mettre en œuvre le test de moyens financiers tel que requis dans le but de maximiser la couverture des médicaments d'ordonnance du patient;
5. Coordonner les processus de pharmacie requis lorsque le financement a été obtenu;
6. Acquérir une connaissance approfondie des mécanismes de financement public/privé et fédéral;
7. Responsable de signaler tous les événements indésirables aux départements concernés;
8. Le/la spécialiste de remboursement sera également affecté(e) à d'autres fonctions et tâches au besoin de temps à autre.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate and manage all aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients;
2. Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician’s offices and healthcare professionals in order to maximize reimbursement solutions;
3. Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies, public/federal funding programs;
4. Implement Financial Means Test as required in an effort to maximize patient’s prescription drug coverage;
5. Coordinate pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained;
6. Acquire in depth knowledge of public/private and federal funding mechanisms;
7. Responsible to report all Adverse Events to the assigned units/departments;
8. The Reimbursement Specialist will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline;
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service, in an office setting;
3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
4. Professional / courteous / efficient telephone manner;
5. Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines;
6. Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills;
7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
8. Attention to detail;
9. Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or insurance industry is an asset;
10. Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry;
2. Working knowledge of automated warehouse operating system;
3. Strong business and financial acumen;
4. Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
6. Effective interpersonal and leadership skills;
7. Effective organizational skills; attention to detail;
8. Ability to consistently meet deadlines;
9. Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently;
10. Excellent presentation skills;
11. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Programs.

The successful candidate may have daily contacts with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients or peers from cross-functional teams.
