About the role
Join the Multi-Unit Business Technology Solution team in the Specialist, Systems position. In this role, you will lead and participate in multi-disciplinary technological projects impacting multiple stakeholders within the corporation. You will identify system issues, strengths and challenges, and perform analysis on them as well as provide technical and operational support to business stakeholders.

This is a temporary position of a duration of 12 months.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the development and documentation of functional business requirements, analysis tools and solutions, including enhancements, changes or fixes to business systems in collaboration with clients and IT.
  • Conduct effective testing and post-implementation reviews to ensure objectives and quality controls have been met.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to ensure the highest level of data accuracy and integrity and ensure adequate testing procedures are carried out.
  • Provide technical expertise on applications and identify opportunities for automation of functions/processes.
  • Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders and/or third-party suppliers in the maintenance, monitoring and resolution of problems related to business systems.
  • Develop and synthesize recommendations for senior management as opportunities present themselves that best serve the overall objectives of CMHC and its clients.
  • Maintain appropriate functional business system documentation and process controls.

What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as computer science, business administration or commerce.
  • A minimum of five years of related experience with increasing responsibilities in housing finance, insurance or business system management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both official languages (French and English), including the ability to deliver clear and effective presentations.
  • Project management skills acquired through the management of small to medium-sized projects.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal capabilities with demonstrated ability to interface and work with colleagues, showing tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to reason logically and recognize assumptions.
