Job summary

FedEx Canada is seeking a shuttle driver/associate to load and unload freight, scan and sort items, and transport goods within and between facilities. The role includes operating non-articulated vehicles and adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities include auditing package size/weight, sorting by service type, scanning with tracking equipment, and ensuring security of property. bilingual ability in Quebec is required for certain duties.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid, fully unrestricted driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs or handle packages up to 150 lbs with equipment/assistance.
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs an asset.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload company vehicles and containers.
• Audit size and weight of packages.
• Sort packages by service type and destination per procedures.
• Scan packages with computerized tracking equipment.
• Follow safety procedures in handling packages and maintain security of property.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and cleaning as needed.
• Comply with local airport regulations and vehicle operating procedures.
• Assist with deliveries on an emergency basis (up to 10% of the time).
