Our Corporate Information Security, Public Sector Compliance team is responsible for ensuring TELUS is compliant with the security requirements of our largest customers, including Federal and Provincial governments and Crown Corporations.

The work of the Public Sector Compliance team directly improves security and privacy outcomes for TELUS customers and communities. This role offers a fully remote work opportunity within Canada.

What you’ll do
  • Identify, implement, maintain, and update critical security controls for RFP programs
  • Lead assessments, audits, compliance readiness, and monitoring activities
  • Set strategic direction for audit readiness and compliance programs
  • Document and deliver processes, procedures, and playbooks for cybersecurity contractual requirements
  • Provide proactive recommendations for cybersecurity controls to stakeholders
  • Interface with auditors and consultants, explaining control implementations and impacts
  • Communicate compliance results and reports to a broad audience
  • Support audit milestones, identify roadblocks, and coordinate resolutions
Qualifications

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional designation in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Security
  • Security designations such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISM from recognized institutes
  • 4+ years in security consulting, compliance, or auditing
  • Experience with IT security management and technical documentation
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Office
  • Ability to communicate cybersecurity requirements effectively
  • Knowledge in IP networking, Cloud computing, or Telecommunications
  • Strong team and self-management skills
  • Proficiency in English and French (non-negotiable)

Great-to-haves

  • ITIL certification
  • Experience with GRC and compliance tools
  • Workflow automation skills (VBA, Python, GPT, etc.)
Salary Range: $101,000-$151,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
Total compensation depends on experience and performance. Compensation may change in 2025.
