Your Opportunity
Our Winnipeg office seeks a Bilingual Manager / Senior Manager for the Assurance team. If you are currently in Canada and interested in relocating to Winnipeg, BDO may provide financial assistance. The role involves:
- Preparing year-end engagements and tax returns for clients across various industries.
- Performing audits, preparing working papers, and financial statements per regulatory standards.
- Building positive client relationships and responding effectively to requests and suggestions.
- Participating in business development and identifying new opportunities with existing clients.
- Growing your practice by managing higher volumes of work.
- Communicating progress and issues with team members regularly.
- Training staff and investing in their professional development; taking a leadership role within the office.
- Reviewing assurance and non-assurance engagements for private, non-profit, and public sector entities to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Managing audit and review assignments under ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS.
- Planning, supervising, and executing assurance and non-assurance engagements.
- Developing new client relationships and business opportunities.
- Addressing client issues promptly, using your technical skills and experience.
- Applying industry knowledge to anticipate and resolve client issues.
- Collaborating creatively to provide tailored solutions for clients.
- Assisting clients with accounting standards, drafting reports, and presentations.
- Preparing financial statements and liaising with auditors, including transitioning between frameworks.
- Staying current on financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Fluently bilingual in French and English, both written and oral.

Your experience and education
- In-depth experience with ASPE, ASNPO, and PSAS files.
- 2-4+ years of management experience.
- CPA designation required.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Leadership focus on employee engagement.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English.
