About the role

Join the Housing Policy and Programs team as a Bilingual Senior Analyst, Policy. In this role, you will provide business intelligence, research, and analysis, developing options and supporting communication of policy and/or programs and process directions as a member of a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to the conceptualization, development, and implementation of new and/or existing policies, products, services, and/or systems, ensuring client needs are addressed throughout the process.

This is a temporary position of 13 months.

What you’ll do :

  1. Scan the internal and external operating environment for emerging policy and/or programs and process issues and needs related to policy research, analysis, and advice. Assess implications of the evolving business context on CMHC and its policies and programs, providing advice on implications.
  2. Represent CMHC at meetings, committees, working groups, and consultative bodies to communicate corporate priorities and policy positions and to obtain input on specific policy proposals.
  3. Develop and coordinate relevant research materials, summaries, and policy analyses for senior management, committees, and task forces/working groups.
  4. Create and coordinate various written documents, presentations, and briefing materials to support internal and external communications and policy requests.
  5. Provide input and advice on corporate strategies to ensure activities align with CMHC and federal government priorities and emerging opportunities.

What you should have :

  1. An undergraduate degree from a recognized university in social sciences, political science, law, or economics.
  2. A minimum of three years of experience in conducting policy research and analysis, using both quantitative and qualitative methods, to support policy, program development, and strategic recommendations.
  3. Strong research and analytical thinking skills.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  5. Knowledge of the housing system.
  6. Bilingualism (English and French).
