Job summary

University of Ottawa invites applications for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) at the Main Campus. The position supports Psychology courses within the Faculty of Social Sciences, with duties including leading discussion groups, grading assignments and exams, and holding office hours to assist students.

Applicants should have knowledge of and interest in psychology, excellent English and French communication, and preferably prior TA experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and interest in the field of psychology and mental health.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French (oral and written).
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant is strongly recommended.
• Demonstrated ability to lead group discussions, support and consult with students.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistance, lead discussion groups, and assist with grading assignments and exams.
• Hold office hours to support students and address questions.
• Meet deadlines and attend lectures as requested by the supervisor.
