Job Description:

The Claims team of Everest Reinsurance Company of Canada, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Claim examiner to join our Montreal office.

Everest Insurance Company of Canada, a specialty commercial lines property and casualty insurance market, member of the Everest Group, Ltd., is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our Company in the position of Claims Examiner. This position will be based out of our Montreal office on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Direct handling of commercial property and auto claims of minor to complex severity within assigned authority
  2. Investigate, analyze, evaluate and adjust assigned claims in the most efficient, effective way while delivering a customer-centric experience
  3. Exercise judgement to determine policy verification and coverage determination
  4. Work to have a timely resolution to claims by developing case strategy; developing a case evaluation; and escalating issues as appropriate
  5. Proactive and timely establishment and maintenance of claim reserves
  6. Proactive and timely customer service both internally and externally responding to enquiries and participating in customer marketing efforts as required
  7. Ability to work collaboratively with adjusters, appraisers, experts and other vendors to bring claims to a timely and efficient resolution
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  1. Bilingual, professional fluency in both French and English
  2. University Degree, College Diploma or equivalent work experience
  3. Quebec residents – AMF Commercial lines Certified Representative in Claims Adjustment or willing to obtain
  4. Minimum one year of property and/or auto claims adjustment experience
  5. Superior oral and written communication skills in both French and English, including the ability to concisely present a set of complex facts, provide analysis and make recommendations
