About the Role : Senior Property Accountant (Bilingual French Required)

This role offers the chance to take ownership of the monthly accounting and reporting cycle for various real estate properties. You'll collaborate with management on information requests, financial analysis, and a wide range of accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain accurate financial records for stakeholders.
  • Manage monthly accounting close procedures and the full cycle of accounts payable.
  • Execute daily transactions, track budget variances, and coordinate budget reviews.
  • Provide support for financial analysis across various departments.
  • Handle cash flow management and compliance filings.
  • Collaborate with external accountants and assist with loan financing.
  • Prepare investor reports, financials, and distributions.

Experience :

  • Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a property accounting role.
  • Bilingual fluency in French and English is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Yardi software is a plus.
  • Ability to work outside of core hours as needed.
