Job description

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Project Manager (People Analytics and HR Systems) for a 36-month term with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)

Security Requirement

Must be eligible for a Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability Secret Clearance.

Key Tasks

  1. Lead the delivery and management of HR Systems projects, including status reporting, resource planning, task management, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling.
  2. Develop detailed project descriptions to support HR and corporate planning processes.
  3. Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and activities.
  4. Provide guidance, training, and coaching to HR team members.
  5. Lead change management processes on HR Systems projects.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to define HR Systems project requirements.
  7. Research, recommend, develop, document, and implement solutions to enhance processes and improve project success.
  8. Develop and maintain lessons learned for future projects.
  9. Assess, mitigate, and monitor risks related to HR Systems projects.
  10. Develop and implement HR processes for compensation, payroll, pension, and benefits.
  11. Develop and maintain HR reporting and data analytics.
  12. Research and present annual compensation recommendations, including Pay Equity and analytics.
  13. Advise management on complex HRIS, payroll, and data analytics issues.
  14. Assist with special HR projects as needed.
  15. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, focusing on data privacy and security.
  16. Maintain effective relationships within the team and with stakeholders.
  17. Ensure quality standards are met.
  18. Develop and maintain HR systems, processes, and policies.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

  1. Experience leading HR Systems projects, including resource planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
  2. Experience in HR reporting and data analytics.
  3. Proficiency in HCM systems, data-driven decision-making, and legal compliance.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  1. Best practices, trends, and legislation in HR, focusing on compensation, HCM, data analytics, and payroll.
  2. ERP and HCM systems.
  3. Workplace collaboration tools.
  4. Project and risk management principles.

Education, Certification, and Experience

  1. Minimum: University degree in Computer Science, HR Management, or related field with six years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
  2. Preferred: Certified HR Leader or Payroll Manager; additional project management training (e.g., PMP).
