The Bilingual Pharmacy Support Assistant is an exciting opportunity to join a new pharmacy support team within Pharmacy Operations. The aim of this new team is to fortify our pharmacy’s day-to-day operations by removing tasks from the pharmacy that may be performed remotely. The current role of the Pharmacy Support Assistant will involve accounts receivable tasks with the potential for this role to expand into support of additional pharmacy tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, strong communication skills, team player attributes, and ability to multitask effectively. This position may require some shift work, is a remote position and will report to the Pharmacy Support Supervisor.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Manage general administrative duties including maintaining effective communication channels with pharmacies, partners and patients via email/phone while maintaining detailed documentation of all encounters.
  • Work with financial information, including entering data into computer software, preparing invoices, and maintaining patient AR accounts.
  • Participating in responding to communication from various stakeholders, including monitoring email accounts and answering phones. Exemplary patient centered care in all interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure documentation is completed and submitted according to the timeline outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) including Incident Reports, Adverse Event Reports, and Product Quality Complaints.
  • Future development of this role may also include remote support of other pharmacy activities.
  • Responsible for reporting any patient safety information as per adverse event reporting requirements.
  • Other duties as required.
What You’ll Bring To Our Team

  • Fluently bilingual (EN/FR); Ability to read, speak and write.
  • Proven performance within current role at BioScript Solutions.
  • Prior experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is considered an asset.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning various vendor software.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail within a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to problem solve, think critically, and make decisions.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy procedures is an asset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
