A healthcare provider in Montérégie is seeking bilingual individuals for a caring role involving daily living activities, documentation, and support for residents. Candidates must be at least 18 years old with relevant qualifications such as a PSW Training Program completion. The ideal candidate should also hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

  • Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid certification.
  • Meet health surveillance requirements under the Public Hospitals Act.
  • VSS within the past year confirming no criminal record.

Job description

***BILINGUAL: ENGLISH AND FRENCH SPEAKING LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY***

Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, established standards, and recognized nursing practice.

  • Assist registered staff in nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
  • Complete all documentation on time, in accordance with corporate policies, ensuring it is current and accurate.
  • Ensure a holistic, quality approach to resident care consistent with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
  • Provide assistance and support with resident meal service.
  • Assist and support with restorative nursing.
  • Coordinate and perform activities necessary for effective resident care during shifts and across the unit.
  • Execute care in accordance with legislation, best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in risk management and quality improvement programs related to resident care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation for all care provided, complying with legislation and internal standards.
  • Mentor new staff/students and promote educational opportunities.
  • Participate in departmental, interdisciplinary, and safety meetings.
  • Foster teamwork and good communication among staff and adhere to collective agreements.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including proper body mechanics, equipment use, lockout procedures, and PPE usage.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
  • Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
  • Must meet one of the following:
    • Completed a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) from a recognized college or school, OR
    • Be an RN, RPN, Paramedic, or a student in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy who has completed Year 1.
  • Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
  • Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid certification.
  • Meet health surveillance requirements under the Public Hospitals Act.
  • VSS within the past year confirming no criminal record.
